I am a recent graduate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Business Management and minors in International Business and Spanish. I am an athlete, a writer, a chronic over-thinker, and a life-long student. I realize I still have so much left to learn about the world, so that is what I plan to do!
I will be spending this year as an Auxiliary de Conversación in Fuerteventura, Spain, the second largest of the Canary Islands. An auxiliary is an English teaching assistant in a Spanish-speaking classroom. My job is to bring my language and culture to high school students and serve as an ambassador between my world and theirs. By moving to Spain to teach English, I am fulfilling a promise I made to myself as a senior in high school. I hope my experience is helpful for those looking to pursue this role or live abroad in the future.
